i've been a lurker here and an inactive jw for a number of years.
i've always had some annoying doubts but brushed it aside but over the last few years i've had time to "think" away from the wt.
perhaps there is no paradise, maybe no god and this life is all there is.

Ohhhhhh...Annette. She was one of America's Sweetheart's.
That's right Flipper. That vibrant Lady won't have to suffer anymore. I saw a TV Special on her life, a few years ago and how her husband was tenderly, looking after her. Her MS made her speechless and terribly crippled and helpless.
Totally ADD, how loving to look after your Friend, until he died. I am so sorry for your loss.
Finkelstein...I wasn't going to cry today, but your YouTube about The M-I-C-K-E-Y...M-O-U-S-E Club, brought such memories back... I got out of School, later than my brother. When his classes were over, he would go home, strap on his skates, grab mine and head out the door to go back to school, and wait for my class to finish. He joyously strapped on my skates, used the key, to tighten them onto my leather shoes, and we would roller skate, in single file, through the neighborhood, down the smooth sidewalks, across the rougher asphalt, have fun and "adventure" until it was time to go indoors and turn the Mickey Mouse Club on.
I identified with Karen, the youngest. I thought of my sister like "sweetheart" Annette. No. The only, same, attribute, my sister had, like Annette, was the color of her hair.

My daughter and I, are, one year out, from learning TTATT. We are fading, but do not attend the KHall, or associate in any way. This had been a recuperative year for us. If there was a meet up, close by, I would very much like to attend, but then again, I would be so cautious, I do not want to be outed.
If we had met up, I would like to know how you felt after learning TTATT...and these posts, have had to take that place as though we did have a party and I could speak to each of you, who posted.

I know you are very excited about your new "baby" and the name and webpage you have developed for it. Just like there are all kinds of music, clothes, foods, restaurants, etc. for a person to choose from...how do I say this politely? I am glad I now know TTATT and am not looking for additional websites . I am an older Lady, that has spent my entire life as a JW. I shy away from, things, I would consider to be hard edged and militant...Your website...I'm sorry, immediately, turns me off. Since I am already out, no problem. Your "restaurant" does not appeal to me, but I am sure others might be drawn to it.

i'm really struggling with it.
i've been learning the ttatt for the past 6 months now and i've been inadvertantly fading - either one of us or the children have had coughs/colds/flu/chicken pox/stress over the past 3 months which has meant we've missed a lot of meetings and field service with good reason.
we've only been out in service twice this year, so far no ones mentioned it to us but i'm waiting for our group overseer to bring it up anytime soon.

Your Sweetheart little children, need you. They need you to give them clean, happy and tranquil surroundings. After supper, they need their baths, some down time, then off to early bedtime. There is no time for KHall, when you have small children. Their health and normal bedtime come first. Make up whatever stories you can think of and don't go to the Hall. Don't go in service. I know, easier said than done, but stick up for your children. Your children don't need to absorb rejection every Sat. morning . It isn't normal. Be careful of your JW relatives indoctrinating them, when you are not around. Those videos and stories for children are horrible.
You are a Mom. Protect your little family, Jehovah can look after his "own" feelings. You aren't going to be hurting him. And Jesus...Wasn't he all about love? The ones mad are the Governing Body who are already counting your money that you are going to give them as the decades of your life, waste away as a "servant" of theirs.

The Quiet One, In your op, opening paragraph, sharing the Jeremiah book...I am so traumatized, that just that one quoted paragraph, is too much for me to bear. I have seen too much cruelty, and I have only associated with JW's all my life.
The Bible is full of killing. I can't read it. I am a fader, I could go to the Hall, but the fake love and friendships there, I have had a lifetime of. No more.
Balaamsass mentioned sitting at the KHall. How many kids get beaten up at the Hall? Smacked, hit, pinched...even dirty looks. I can't take anymore of any of that kind of "love".
